Croton Falls Fire Department Engine 148 and Ladder 67 responding mutual aid to the Brewster Fire Department for a 2nd alarm structure fire on Main Street in Brewster, New York. A complete rundown of the units that responded is listed below. The Brewster Fire Department was originally dispatched to a reported structure fire. Brewster PD was the first to arrive and confirmed a working structure fire and Putnam 911 (dispatch) transmitted the 2nd alarm, bringing in Lake Carmel FD's rescue, Brewster FD EMS, and Putnam County EMS Medic 4. However, with Brewster FD EMS already operating at an unrelated EMS call and unable to fulfill a second crew, Carmel VAC was requested mutual aid. 11-1-2 arrived on scene, established command, and reported fire on the top floor. Shortly after, command requested a ladder from Croton Falls FD to the scene and then added an engine to that request as well. Carmel FD and Putnam Lake FD were requested to standby in their own quarters and soon after, one engine from Carmel FD was requested into the scene while one engine from Putnam Lake FD was requested to relocate to Brewster FD's Headquarters. Cause & Origin from Westchester County was also requested to the scene due to the Putnam County Fire Investigation Team being unable to fulfill the request. The fire was knocked down and companies began overhaul. The incident was placed under control and command began releasing mutual aid companies after roughly 1½ hours of operation.
