LEOPARD ENCOUNTER at the HORTON PLAINS National Park! | Sri Lanka

A WILD LEOPARD came face-to-face with us! I was not expecting to find a leopard at the Horton Plains National Park since it's EXTREMELY RARE (said the guide). The leopard was hunting and she dashed towards some deers that were stopping in front of us, just 50 meters ahead of us, so the leopard was CLEAR AS DAY. That was literally the most exciting, but also the scariest moment of my life! Mainly because we were on a Tuktuk, so it was an semi-open vehicle omg. I truly recommend going to Horton Plains National Park if you are in Sri Lanka! I started off from Ella, so the travel was not that long, but everything was so beautiful. The journey was not tiring at all because I was surrounded with extremely mesmerizing nature, Sri Lanka is so lush! Oh, don't forget to bring enough cash. My friends and I did not expect that the entrance fee will be quite expensive (25 USD), but it's all very worth it because the fee goes to support the rangers and park management to take care of the area. One more interesting observation is that I didn't see a lot of wild animals there, except deers! And you know what, the leopard WASN'T EVEN INSIDE THE PARK. It was 200 meters away from the PARK ENTRANCE. She might just go out to the town wkwkwkwk insane! Let's continue making stories together!
