We previously documented the route from Kansas to California and then from Missouri westward—this leg will complete the eastern half. Along the 166-mile Illinois stretch, the route closely mirrors the historic path of George Rogers Clark during the Revolutionary War. The video highlights small towns, rural scenery, and sections of the original "Old 50" alignment, which often runs parallel to the modern highway. The day ends in Salem, with plans to resume in the next episode to finish the Illinois segment.
