SUBSCRIBE for a new recipe EVERY TUESDAY & FRIDAY: https://bit.ly/2FCgM3q Printable Recipe: https://www.sweetspotbakes.com Cake Batter Extract: https://amzn.to/2OePbtP Scones Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 tbsp baking powder 1/4 tsp Kosher salt 2/3 cup granulated sugar 1 large egg 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream 1/2 cup unsalted butter, frozen cubed 1 tsp cake batter extract 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles Method: In a large bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar and set aside. In a smaller bowl mix together cream, the egg, and both the cake batter and vanilla extracts. Pinch frozen butter through dry mixture into large pea size pieces. (You could use a food processor here) Mix sprinkles through by hand. Combine the wet mixture with the sprinkles mixture until just combined. Pour dough out onto a floured surface and knead 2-3 times then form into a disc. Cut disc into 8 triangular wedges and place onto lined baking sheet. Brush the tops with heavy whipping cream and place into the refrigerator to chill for 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 400 Fahrenheit. After chilled bake off for 15-17 minutes. Glaze with powdered sugar glaze and enjoy!
