I’d like to introduce a rural Japanese railway that I adore. The Tadami line is a Japanese railway that connects Aizu-Wakamatsu station (会津若松駅 Aizu-Wakamatsu-eki) in the city of Aizu-Wakamatsu in Fukushima prefecture and Koide station (小出駅 Koide-eki) in the city of Uonuma, in the neighboring Niigata prefecture. This video captures the scenery along the section from Aizu-Wakamatsu Station to Aizu-Kawaguchi Station on the Tadami Line. It attracts numerous tourists who come to experience its charm. Along its route, you can witness quintessential Japanese flowers such as cherry blossoms, wisteria, and paulownia, not just in spring. During summer, enchanting river mist frequently envelops the surroundings, creating a dreamlike landscape. Autumn is the most popular season, as the Tadami Line is adorned with vibrant foliage that is truly a sight to behold. In winter, the region receives abundant snowfall.
