The 920xt is Garmins top of the range multisports watch, building on the incredible success of its predecessor by adding more features, reducing the size and housing it all in a far better looking unit. When the 920xt was launched, the triathlon world could not get enough of it, the extensive features for Swimming, Cycling and Running meant it was not just an ideal race watch but the perfect training partner too. Although triathlons take place outdoors, Garmin have not neglected the indoor swimmer and the swim metrics are the best I have seen, simply tell the watch how long the pool is and it will not only count your laps but analyse your swim efficiency too. The cycle display will feel familiar to anyone who has used a Garmin Edge GPS as it gives you all the same information, just mounted to your wrist rather than your bike. The run function is classic Forerunner with clear customisable data screens letting you monitor the fields that really matter to you.
