The Voigtländer Septon 50mm f2 was the top of the line lens for the Bessamatic cameras. It was introduced in 1959 and manufactured until 1967. This lens competed with the best lenses from other German manufacturers such as Carl Zeiss. It was exceptionally well made [sPause time="0.2s" ePause]and the best lens making materials were used. The optical calculations were also excellent. I used this lens on my Sony A7III.
