The lawmakers included Alvin Yeung Ngok-kiu, Kwok Ka-ki and Dennis Kwok from the Civic Party and Kenneth Leung of the Professionals Guild. They were previously barred from running in the Legislative Council elections, which were later postponed until September 2021 amid the coronavirus pandemic. The 15 remaining opposition politicians said they would hand in letters of resignation on November 12.
