Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this CURT Echo in-line wireless proportional trailer brake controller. This CURT Echo inline is all about simple use and easy install. With the main unit connected at your seven-way, all you need is your smartphone to control the settings on the brake controller. With this wireless operation, you're not gonna have to worry about banging your knee on a bulky controller, cluttering up your dash, or ruining the sleek look of your interior. This is equipped with proportional braking to give you the best towing experience. Proportional braking, as you probably already know, means that your trailer brakes mimic your tow vehicle's brakes. If you slam on the brakes in your vehicle, your trailer brakes will activate with the same intensity. If you brake lightly, your trailer brakes lightly as well. The trailer's braking is in proportion to your vehicle's braking. So, this is going to save wear and tear on your tires and the brakes on both of your vehicle and trailer. This is going to work with trailers with up to four axles or eight brake assemblies and it's compatible with electric or electric over hydraulic trailer brakes. So, this uses an internal three-axis accelerometer to sense how your vehicle is braking, so we can send the right amount of braking power to your trailer. It measures the inertia of your tow vehicle and activates the trailer's brakes to ensure that your trailer slows down at the same rate. The result is uniform braking across your towing setup. So, no push or pull action. Just smooth, proportional braking every time. This brake controller is managed entirely from the free Echo Smart Control app on your smartphone. It connects via a Bluetooth. From the simple user-friendly app, you can set the maximum braking output, braking sensitivity, and you can even apply the manual override. You can save multiple trailer profiles in the app and that's a big plus if you have a fleet because you can just select a profile and be ready to tow. You'll have to keep the app open to access the manual override. But if the app does close, the brake controller will continue to use the last saved settings until you change them again. And don't worry, after you've downloaded the app, you don't need to have data on to use the app with the brake controller. Now, you can also add a manual override button to your dash, so you can use the manual override without the app. The app must be open and running on your phone for the button to work, but it doesn't have to be on your screen. You can use another app on your phone and the button will still work as long as the app is running in the background. The button has an adhesive pad for a quick stick install and it runs on a replaceable battery. So, as you can see, I have that there on your screen. The LED indicator light on the body of the controller is going to allow for troubleshooting and the quick reference guide is going to assist you in that troubleshooting process. This is compatible with ABS brakes, cruise control, low voltage wiring, and pulse width modulation or PWM systems. And it has a built-in reverse polarity and short circuit protection. The main unit is going to plug in behind your seven-way with the included USCAR connectors. And the waterproof enclosure is going to seal and protect the circuits against the elements. This also includes an adhesive pad, and zip ties, and four screws included to mount this unit. So, as you can see, this is going to be a very easy install. Now, let me just give you some overall measurements. Probably gonna be the easiest to measure this way. So, the overall width, we are looking right at about 5 1/8 inches wide. And the overall length including our plug here, we're sitting pretty close to about 4 1/4 inches thick or so. And the overall thickness, we're sitting pretty close to 1 7/8 inches thick.
