Lenny Breau met guitarist Bucky Barrett shortly after moving to Nashville in 1976. Bucky was a Nashville studio ace who had recorded with hundreds of top level musicians and toured with the likes of Roy Orbison. Although his bread and butter gigs were mainly in the country genre, he was an excellent jazz and rock guitarist. Soon after Bucky and Lenny met, they began playing straight jazz gigs, often at the popular Nashville club, Mississippi Whiskers, in duo, trio and quartet formats. In 1979, Bucky invited Lenny and steel guitarist Buddy Emmons to play on an album he was recording called "Killing The Wind". The music on the album--all Bucky Barrett originals-- had a Jazz--Rock Fusion feel/sound that was reflective of contemporary music of the time. Lenny Breau played on four cuts--Good Lick, Lipstick, Killing the Wind and the tune featured here--Steely Dance. 1. Steely Dance (Solos: Bucky -2:17 Buddy 4:16 Lenny 6:15 )
