Our Journey to Build an AI-Powered Robot We took on an exciting challenge to create something innovative—an AI-Powered Robot powered by a Raspberry Pi. This robot is integrated with Gemini for smart AI capabilities and ElevenLabs for a natural, human-like voice. It’s designed to answer your questions, respond to voice commands, and even be controlled remotely. 💡The Challenges and Wins Building this robot wasn’t easy. We started with a big idea, but the journey was full of ups and downs. Setting up the Raspberry Pi as the robot’s brain was just the beginning. Getting all the parts to work together smoothly took a lot of time and effort. Integrating Gemini for AI-powered interactions was a big step, but it came with its own challenges—training the model, fixing bugs, and making sure it could understand and respond accurately. Then came ElevenLabs. Adding a human-like voice to the robot was a game-changer, but it wasn’t simple. Fine-tuning the voice, syncing it with the AI, and making it sound natural took countless hours. There were moments of frustration—hardware not connecting, software crashing, and models not working as expected.
