BOAT FISHING UK | INSHORE BASS FISHING | CATCH & COOK MACKEREL

In this video myself and Liam went out on his boat to spend the day doing a bit of mixed fishing. We'd start off by feathering up some mackerel, then we'd trying our luck for a ray or even a tope. The fishing didn’t exactly go to plan as we were on the slack tide, therefore picking up a lot of dogfish. We decided to anchor up in a beautiful cove on the north side of sark and cook up one of the bigger mackerel we'd caught earlier. After a quick bite to eat we then did some lure fishing for bass in a few different spots. Liam would catch the nicest fish of the day, a stunning 60cm bass, using the Sidewinder Candy King. I was into a smaller bass of about 3lb a bit later on, however, it came off as i was bringing it to the boat as it was very lightly hooked. Towards the end of the day we came across a shoal of smaller bass close inshore. We aimlessly through every lure we had at them however, they weren’t interested at all. Follow after follow, we just weren’t able to get them to commit. One of the smallest bass in amongst them did decide to have a go in the end, swiping at the Samson Tweak Bait, 10g, 7cm surface lure. Even thought the fishing wasn’t great, it was still a fantastic day out! Here is the video of all the footage i filmed that day, hope you enjoy!
