In this video I visited Open House Fishing Camp in Ayutthaya. Only taking about 1hr from Bangkok and most of the drive being highway its well located. Currently there is one lake open the bigger lure fishing lake stocked with snakehead, giant snake head, feather backs and wallago Attu. Its 60B to fish the lure lake and you are welcome to bait fish with ram and bread, but no meat products are allowed as there is a risk of deep hooking the predators. When I go back, I will probably lure fish early morning when the time is good for a bite and bait fish during the day as there are some nice mrigal carp, giant gourami, soldier river barb and Tilapia in the lake. We where only there for a few hr on the way back to Bangkok and by the time we arrived it was mid-day, but we did get to see a few fish come out. The 2nd lake that the owner was referring to as his big fish lake will open in a few months’ time. He has been stocking that lake with Siamese Carp, Julian’s Carp, and Mekong. That could be well worth a look once its open. We also visited รีสอร์ทบ้านอ่างทอง (resort Ban Ang tong) but despite our best efforts we where unable to get any fish other than a small giant snakehead. Still an interesting location and I feel I have a score to settle there now after losing a fish I worked very hard to hook. There face book also below.
