We’re docked in Zeebrugge, around 20 minutes from Bruges, which meant this was our first ever official cruise excursion. With no easy public transport into the city, we booked the P&O coach for an unguided day in Bruges - and from that moment on, it was a long one. Between: My injured heel, which had already cut the previous day short Anna adjusting to using a new rollator instead of her wheelchair or scooter Getting caught in the rain almost immediately …it was clear this day was going to take a bit of effort. Still, Bruges is one of our favourite cities, and somewhere that means a lot to us. We first visited back in 2019 during a travel series with Andy, so this felt like a return to somewhere full of memories. We revisited some of our favourite spots: The Belfry Markt Square The café where I once had the best coffee of my life (which definitely sent me down the road to my current coffee obsession) We also: Found a brilliant LEGO shop (full video already on Block Party) Had proper Belgian food - mussels for me, Flemish stew for Anna Wandered cobbled streets, browsed local shops, and admired far too many horses and bells And I made a complete mess eating a chocolate-covered Belgian waffle The day ended with a bit of unnecessary stress as multiple coaches arrived back at the ship after the official all-aboard time — not our fault, and no risk of being left behind, but not the smoothest ending to an already long day. Back on board, it was time for: One last meal in the restaurant Packing our cases for collection And quietly accepting that the cruise was coming to an end We disembark back in Southampton the next morning (no video - it would be very boring), but this isn’t the end of the travel content. By the time this goes live, we’ll be packed and heading to Manchester for Bricktastic, with more travel vlogs coming very soon. Thanks for watching the cruise series - and if you’ve enjoyed it, there’s plenty more to come. 👍 Like the video if you’ve ever had a port day take more out of you than expected 💬 Let us know your favourite city you keep going back to 🔔 Subscribe for the next travel adventure ******************** ABOUT KEVIN CHAPMAN I’m Kevin, a 40-something nerdy bloke who’s lost over 90lb (so far) and still has a long way to go.
