When you approach Brownwood Paddock Square you first notice the large windmill. Right next to it, watching over the square is a tall water tower. These landmarks have been the backdrop of countless photos and have seen hundreds of thousands of happy folks dancing to the nightly music. Next week it comes to an end... or does it? May 19 has been slated as the day that these landmarks will be demolished. Showing signs of severe deterioration and with hurricane season looming, there is danger of them toppling over and injuring or killing people. They must be dismantled, but will they be rebuilt? If they are rebuilt, who will pay? The situation is still developing, and in today's video, Jerry and Linda take a look at the windmill and tower and get the opinions of some concerned citizens. Please ring that bell, like, and subscribe! We'll let you know every time we post a video! Jerry and Linda bring you information that they hope will enhance your retirement. Their channel is more than just The Villages. It features episodes designed to inspire retirees to make the most of their golden years. Bicycling, kayaking, hiking, golfing, music, travel and other things of interest are featured. “See you when you get here!” Mailing address: Villages Newcomers P.O.Box 888 Fruitland Park, FL 34731 Our email: villagesnewcomers@gmail.com The information in our videos is never guaranteed as accurate, but as our opinion.
