Hello everyone, welcome to SA Today on 6 November 2025. We begin today's video with rough seas and storms at Kalk Bay, and rainstorms around Koster in South Africa. Today might see flooding around Centurion and Roodepoort after heavy rainfall and a hailstorm. Upington had a light rain shower. We stand under the high bridge at Tsitsikamma in the Eastern Cape Province. Super Moon rising over St Helena Bay. A leopard next to the road, only 1 km from the Malelane Gate in the Kruger National Park and we will also show you several other locations across South Africa today. The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows: The weather will be quite windy in the west, while the eastern regions will experience cooler temperatures and mostly cloudy skies. Scattered thunderstorms are anticipated over the interior, including Gauteng. A yellow Level 2 Alert for severe thunderstorms is expected to develop, bringing heavy downpours, damaging winds, large amounts of small hail, and frequent lightning. These conditions may lead to localized damage to infrastructure, informal settlements, properties, vehicles, and could impact livelihoods, agricultural production, and livestock. There is also a risk of localized flooding in susceptible areas such as roads, low-lying regions, and bridges. Additionally, minor vehicle accidents and injuries due to flying debris are possible. Affected areas include North West, Gauteng, most parts of the Free State, the Highveld of Mpumalanga Province, south-western Limpopo, the north-eastern part of Northern Cape Province, and the extreme western parts of KwaZulu-Natal. A Yellow Level 1 alert for damaging winds will create navigation challenges at sea, with small vessels at risk of taking on water and capsizing. This risk is particularly noted between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas. Stay safe and take the necessary precautions to protect yourselves and your property.
