Hiked up to Quandary Peak 14,265ft with my friends the Ultra Grasshopper and Trail Chipmonk and came down snowboarding. I knew the trail would be well packed because I read the trail report at 14ers.com and it hadn't snowed in days so I carried my snowboard in my backpack. The trail was well packed only used microspikes the whole way up took me 2:33 hrs which is my fastest winter ascent according to strava. The whole way up was super windy, but once we got to the summit it seemed to calm down at least for the few minutes that we were up there for. Then I strapped up my board and went down right from the summit following the E ridge trail for a few hundred feet, because the NE bowl was looking bonny I had to trek across N until a found a band thick enough to ride all the way to meet again with the trail, unfortunately, I recorded that section on a GoPro and had camera angled the wrong way and footage was not good. I still got plenty of footage on the Insta360 , hope you guys like it.
