Contra Speedrun, 11 minutes 4 seconds. No cheats, turbos, saving and restoring, etc. There are a few graphics that don't show up (like many of the spread gun bullets so that sometimes enemies die but you don't see anything hit them). I don't know what that's about. This is the second fastest Contra speedrun that I am aware of where it is claimed that no kinds of cheats were used. There is clearly room for improvement throughout, as I even um...uh... die once towards the end (yes, quite pathetic indeed). A good portion of the time I spent in grad school was playing this game.
