This month my guest is Greek storyteller, Despina Ariou. Third daughter of a third daughter, Despina grew up nurtured with folktales from her storytelling Granny and classical myths from her Father. Despina lives on a little rock in the middle of the Aegean Sea called Syros, surrounded by myth and legend. She has a huge love for languages, peoples of the world and, of course, myths of the world, though her first story love is the vast rich heritage of her native Greek myths, legends and folk tales... from the many wondrous creatures to choose from in Greek mythology, she has chosen centaurs.
