Today is January 3, 2021 and I had 530 hours on the diesel heater since my last maintenance in September 2020. To keep my diesel heater running reliably, I prefer to maintain it every 500 hours or so. This reduces the chance of excessive smoke during startup and use, and also keeps the internal ignition chamber clean and free of carbon.
