EAC12 Welcome by Dr Richard Osgood, MBE - Defence Infrastructure Organisation, Operation Nightingale

In this presentation Dr Osgood starts by giving some background about his past involvement with archaeology and experimental archaeology. He then moves on to describing the work he does with Operation Nightingale, an initiative to assist the recovery of wounded, injured and sick military personnel and veterans by getting them involved in archaeological investigations. He highlights the projects they have taken on and the many ways in which they benefit the veterans. Bringing in an academic basis and combining it with experimental and artistic work is what makes this initiative so valuable from a recovery point of view. #EXARC #ExperimentalArchaeology #EAC12
