Bingo at church turns to horror as wounded men seek help; one dies, one hospitalized

A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that left one person dead and another injured near a church along Monticello Road, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Leon Lott announced the arrest of Anthony Boyd, 20, on charges of murder, attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Deputies said the shooting happened around 12:15 p.m. Thursday. Authorities responded to reports of a shooting near Triumphant Praises Church International and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene.
