In today’s world many people think that wealth, success, and fame come only because of their hard work, intelligence, and talent. Hard work is important, but in Islam we believe that everything we receive in life is a blessing from Allah. Allah is the One who gives رزق (rizq), success, respect, and high status to people. A person may try very hard, but without the will and mercy of Allah nothing is possible. That is why a true believer always thanks Allah for every success in life. Wealth and fame are also a test from Allah. Some people become humble and thankful when they become rich or famous, while others become proud and forget Allah. Islam teaches us that when Allah gives us money or success, we should use it in a good way. We should help poor people, give charity, and stay humble. In the Quran, there is the example of Qarun who became very rich but became proud and said that his wealth was because of his own knowledge. Because of his arrogance, he was punished. This story teaches us that we should never be proud of our wealth or success. A Muslim should always remember that wealth, fame, and success are gifts from Allah. We should thank Allah, stay humble, and use our blessings in a way that pleases Him.
