The GURPS Character Sheet is the best way to create GURPS characters. Yes, you could create one with pen and paper, but why? You can play such great "what if" scenarios with GCS... "What if I add one more point of DX" or "What if I added another level to the combat skill", which would work better for me? GCS has been actively developed for 20+ years, and is STILL being developed. It runs on Windows, Mac and Linux. This video runs through creating a character, and shows off a lot of features of GCS (but not all, even I don't know all of the features of GCS). Longtime users have even commented on features they didn't know existed... and even I didn't know about a feature... until Rich Wilkes (the GCS developer) told me about it: "You can quickly increment and decrement a Skill level by pressing ctrl-period and ctrl-slash (it will automatically add or subtract the correct number of character points). See the menu option 'Edit' - 'State...' for more keyboard shortcuts."
