By ikomochi: https://www.pixiv.net/en/users/801146 https://twitter.com/rswxx?lang=ja TL notes: 0:17 What Okayu actually says here is "限界化してて” (genkai kashitete) which is a reference to the term "genkai otaku". "genkai" means limit so a "genkai otaku" is an otaku who's at their limit of trying to express their love for something they're passionate about (in this case OkaKoro) and starts doing stuff like getting really excited and talking really fast to try and explain why it's so good to other people (or in Lamy's case tweeting a bunch). 化してて (kashitete) means something like "becoming" or "transforming into". So overall "genkaikashitete" means someone "transforming" into a "genkai otaku". You'll see this phrase used every now and again in otaku culture so it's pretty useful to know (Senchou also used it in her Monster Hunter stream the other day I might make a clip of that if I get chance). Obviously, there's no real one to one English analogy for this phrase so I went with "fangirling", but you could say "nerding out" or any other sort of equivalent phrase. At a few points such as 0:25 Okayu actually quotes Lamy as saying "おかころは原点であり真理” (okakoro wa genten de ari shinri) which a more literal translation of would be "Okakoro is the origin and the truth". I decided to change it to "love and life" since it's a more commonly used English phrase in this type of context that conveys the same type of feelings as the original Japanese phrase. If you have any ideas about possible better translations feel free to let me know. #Hololive #NekomataOkayu #YukihanaLamy #InugamiKorone #OkaKoro #VTuber #English #Clip
