Ontario RAT-7 review: Versatility and Value
The Ontario RAT 7 is a good choice for almost any outdoors situation. It is a full tang design made from 3/16" thick 1095 steel. The 7 inch drop point blade is full flat ground and is the typical and very practical shape found on the RAT series of knives. The micarta handle scales are a classy touch, and are very comfortable in the hand. The main downside to this knife is the sheath. Ontario really would do well to invest a few more dollars into making their sheaths as well as they make their knives. However it is adequate and given the price point I guess I cannot complain too loudly. The RAT 7 is a knife I'm liking more and more as time goes on.
