This is the final song on the album, where the character, after a whole life of bad choices and mistakes, now finds himself facing death in a hospital bed, and remembers all the good and the bad moments he lived with his lover, reflects about everything he could and should have done differently, and he ends up regretting a lot of his decisions throughout life, and by the end of the song he just accepts death, and because of his health condition, he isn't even able to thank his partner, who, even though he failed her a lot over the years, was still there with him until the end. The lyrics of the song use the light of day as a metaphor for life being just like a long day, and when the sun is gone at night, everything else is gone with it.
