And regardless if you’re stepping into the cage - developing a stronger core will help improve compound movements like the squat, and deadlift. What’s up, Joel Paquette here from Blue Star Nutraceuticals, and today I’m going to challenge you to my Fighter Abs - Complete Core Conditioning workout, so that you can develop the core strength, and ripped abs of a MMA fighter! Think you can handle this body blow? Then take your serving of blue star blade to help release and transport your stubborn fat to be burned off - and let’s get to it! Fighter Abs Workout: Strong abs help deliver the power behind your punches and kicks with explosive rotations - and absorb the impact of body blows you’re bound to endure as a fighter - so it’s important to work through each and every one of these primary functions. That’s why in this workout we’re going to go through six of the best ab and core training exercises, designed to help you strengthen all regions of your abs and core. You will perform each exercise for 60 secs - resting 30 seconds between exercises Once all 6 exercises are complete - take a 3 minute breather Then you’re going to repeat everything for a total of 2 rounds - making it a complete 30 minute, ab crushing workout. Exercise #1: Foot Grabs Get in a sit up position - feet off the ground - then alternate back and forth grabbing one foot at a time with your opposing hand - so right hand grabs left foot then left hand to right foot Exercise #2: Toes to Bar (Hanging Leg Raises) Grab a chin up bar, flex the core and drive your toes all the way up to the bar and back down - be sure to brace the core and minimize swaying or swinging - no cheating here - we want those abs working hard Exercise #3: High Plank Sit-Outs Set up in a high plank, then twist your core and extend your left leg out to the side between your right arm and leg, then back to plank position and repeat with the opposite side. Alternate back and forth with these - keeping the core braced throughout the full minute! Exercise #4: Mountain Climbers Set up in a plank position and drive your knees to your chest one at a time - flex the core and think speed and agility with these. Exercise #5: V-Ups Lie flat on your back, arms extended above your head, lift your shoulders and legs off the ground then crunch up while raising your legs to form a V at the top - these will hit your abs top to bottom! Exercise #6: Planks Finally we’ll finish off with planks to work the deeper core stabilizer muscles and improve your muscular endurance so you can keep going round after round. And that’s a wrap. You made it through Fighter Abs! If you want to kick things up a notch - do some skipping or jumping jacks during the 30 second break between exercises.
