BLOODY MESS & THE SKABS were punk rock/shock rock band out of Peoria Illinois. Formed in 1988. Broke 💔 up in 1994. A very crazy ride indeed. To put it very mildly. We lived to be banned. Our stage shows became infamous. We pushed the envelope. But behind it all? Alcohol/booze and MANY other things were fueling the fires of madness, insanity, crossing many lines, and ending up in the newspaper so often it affected members of my family. Revulsion was in the air. Chaos. Substance abuse. And..... we released 4 7 inch records & 2 full length albums. ( 1990 & 1994) We went on our 1994 East Coast Usa tour. From the get....things started fucking up. The 1st shows canceled last minute. ( Pricks lol 😆) So we started the tour in Philadelphia at the Firenz Tavern. We played 2 NYC shows on the same night. And we partied VERY hard at each show. To excess. By the time we got to Wilmington Deleware... bad things had happened. I quit the band. Wait til u hear THESE details!!! Also I forget to mention: We were supposed to do one more ( all ages) show after Deleware at ABC NO RIO in NYC but we blew it off (WE were the pricks that time. Oops. We suck 😂🤣😂) ALSO I apologize for not mentioning former Skabs members KEVIN "BEVERAGE" HEIN & JEREMY KERNER! Sorry mates!!!!!! and...GENE PERFECT who joined the band on bass guitar, briefly, in 1991.
