Fullerton tree fire turns into a crazy fire

FULLERTON: On 05-14-22 at approximately 2:45pm, Fullerton police and fire responded to a report of multiple palm trees on fire in the 1300 block of W Valencia Avenue. Units arrived to find several trees on fire extending to a nearby commercial office building. There was light winds in the area which pushed the fire in a northern direction. The fire extended to a carport with about 10 cars parked under it. The embers were flying in a north direction due to the winds and it began causing several fires down range. A mobile home was destroyed by the fire. Several residents in the Mobil home park were evacuated. Police and fire requested assistance from multiple surrounding agencies. One firefighter was transported to a local hospital for a heat related injury. A resident of the Mobil home park was also transported to a local hospital for smoke inhalation.
