Exploring the Largest Caves in Portugal | Mira de Grutas de Aire | Europe Travel Vlog S1E6

Officially 1 of the 7 Natural Wonders of Portugal, Mira de Grutas de Aire is the LARGEST cave system in all of Portugal, stretching over 15 km long! These caves are a short 45min drive from Nazare and only 80mins from Lisbon making this an ideal day trip excursion. The caves have guided tours that leave every 30 mins from the main building in Portuguese - However, there is a free app that translates everything into multiple languages. The tour takes about 90 mins to complete. Interestingly these caves maintain a steady 17 to 18 Celcius inside regardless of the temperature on the surface. The tour path is paved so no specialist clothing or equipment is required for this adventure. We are on a road trip through Portugal ultimately ending in Evora.
