Elana Meyers Taylor, @elanameyerstaylor, is mom to Nico and Noah, who are also Deaf. Nico has Down syndrome, and they are very involved in both communities. For fun, we wanted to share some terms that come with bobsledding. We asked around in the community — many thanks to those who helped out. My son, Coffey is the signer. He is wearing the shirts that Elana and her family, Team Meyers Taylor, had made for the Olympics. The shirt fingerspells “bobsled” in American Sign Language. On the back, it includes the sign for family in ASL, Team Meyers Taylor, and the Italian colors. You can purchase them through her page. Be sure to check the family out. Watch for special appearances by Elana and Noah! Part 1 transcript: Coffey: Hi! The Winter Olympics is here. We are all excited.
