In this video we go over a problem that affects Chinese knock-off, or clone, versions of the Bosch Tech2 scan tool for GM vehicles involving the optional CANdi interface module attachment. The CANdi interface module allows the older Tech2 tool to be used on newer vehicles with CAN (controller area network) bus communications. After some time of usage though, the cloned versions of the CANdi interface module connecting cable(s) will develop an electrical fault where they are no longer detected as attached by the Tech2. Instead of the CANdi module being recognized as found message will not show up on the main Tech2 boot screen anymore. In this video we demonstrate this problem, and an effective and factory correct repair for the root cause.
