When it comes to MTB or gravel riding the UAE 🇦🇪 is a challenging place to find good rideable off-road trails, but they do exist I’ve already explored a lot of the Urban Off-Road in Dubai but my mission now is to explore as much of the mountains as possible. These videos will be shot without any next level production but will give you all the information you need to plan your own expedition without any effort. I’ll do all the leg work, find the good and the bad, get lost and found for you. If these videos are helpful or just a good watch please like and subscribe as this will spur me on. This video covers a short but enjoyable route up Wadi Naqab from the Jebel Yanas checkpoint in Ras al Khaimah. The parking spot is here, although you can park up much further away if you so choose. If you want to do Jebel Yanas as well park here. If you are only doing Wadi Naqab and want a longer distance find a spot on the route to this location and start there. The link to the ride on strava is here. Feel free to connect with me on Strava and send me a message with any questions or to arrange to meet up for a ride. / strava This route is manageable for all levels including families and would be an excellent trip to have a picnic, or just spend some time exploring, at the end of the Wadi at the area where the cave is. https://maps.app.goo.gl/fYdMajV844reK... McDonald’s, KFC, Starbucks and Petrol Station is here. You can also head into Ras al Khaimah as it’s a similar distance. https://maps.app.goo.gl/axQKk5z6bJbbT... There is a big flat area with trails here where they hold a MTB XC race. The route heads south but all around this area there are off-road roads to get some km’s in. https://maps.app.goo.gl/Y73mg3jCFjjsc... I set this Facebook Group up ages ago but it didn’t catch on. If you are interested in finding or sharing information or have questions I’ll keep an eye out on here. https://m.facebook.com/groups/6707292... Also set this up and will use it to arrange group rides if there is enough interest / strava Chapters: 0:00 Introduction, Route Map and Start of Route 0:55 Route overview 1:45 Route planning - two stage ride 2:15 Passed the 1st Dam 2:35 The 2nd Dam 3:00 Views at 6km 4:10 Getting shady 4:45 End of the road 5:45 How far to McDonalds 🍔 6:30 Route direction vs sun vs time of year 8:00 Can’t find cave 8:30 That’s not a cave 9:15 That’s a cave 😂 9:50 Summarising the day and final thoughts
