The Maine Climate Council met on January 29, 2020 at the Augusta Civic Center in their second quarterly meeting. The meeting featured a presentation by the Department of Environmental Protection about their newly released Eighth Biennial Report on Progress toward Greenhouse Gas Reduction Goals; Scientific and Technical Subcommittee presentations about their initial summary of the effects of climate change on Maine; and presentations and break-out discussions of the draft scopes of each working group. In this presentation, Dr. Rebecca Lincoln, Maine Center for Disease Control, presented about the impacts of climate change on human health in Maine.
