The Holy Place Charar-e-Sharief || Nilnag Lake || Budgam || The Passenger

Charar-e-Sharief  is a Sufi Muslim sharine and Mosque situated in the town of Charar-e-Sharief in Budgam District of Jammu And Kashmir Union Territory, India. It is one of the oldest and sacrosanct shrines of Indian Muslims, including Kashmir Valley dedicated to a Kashmiri Sufi saint Nund Rishi.  It was built in 1460 to pay homage to Nund Rishi. Nilnag is a beautiful lake located 4 km downhill from Yusmarg. The water of the lake is blue in colour and thus, the lake is named as Nilnag.
