These living soil beds don't fill themselves. It takes work! Here's a time-lapse video of us from Summer of 2021 filling and mixing soil in one of our living soil beds. Aged compost, peat moss, and pumice combined with rice hulls is most of what you are seeing mixed here. It's important to have your soil uniformed throughout so we thought we would make this video to demonstrate our technique of layering and mixing the ingredients as we go. Don't neglect the corners of your beds folks!
