Chiemgau in the snow - a winter fairy tale

It has snowed in the Chiemgau and the mountain peaks are now coated in white, a beautiful scenery. Shortly thereafter, the Snow Queen brings even more. Now we not only have white powdered mountain peaks, but a dreamlike winter fairy tale. We make a short car trip through the western part of the Chiemgau. Our starting point is Bernau, a tranquil spa town on the southern shore of Lake Chiemsee. Our first destination is Prien with the picturesque church and the small but atmospheric Christmas market. Then we continue to Bad Endorf. The Sankt Jakobus Church is beautifully situated in the snowy town, surrounded by snow-covered trees. Behind the church there is a small nativity scene trail where the birth of Jesus is shown in different landscapes. Then we drive to the Ratzinger Höhe viewpoint. Here you have a fabulous view over the snow-covered meadows and trees and in between an Upper Bavarian village like in a picture book. Finally we visit the Christmas market in Rosenheim.
