#bass #bassplayer #music #originalmusic #solo In this video I’m playing a PJ-5 Multiscale from the german luthier Ralf Börjes. The instrument is based on the well established P-bass concept. It’s a 5-string multiscale version with a PJ pickup configuration and an onboard pre-amp from Glockenklang (an active/passive switchable 3-band EQ with true bypass and an additional passive tone control). The pickups are crafted by Harry Haeussel and can be blended via two volume controls. In this video the P-style pickup is dominant. The sound of the bass is moderately shaped by the active electronics.
