This video was the most comprehensive testing and run of the Nucanoe Frontier 12 to date using the Honda 35cc 1.3 hp engine system with an upgraded leg spinning a 2-blade prop. The speed averaged 5.1 mph against a light bay current and on the way back into the bay, the GPS functions were used on the GoPro to capture live speed. As noted in the film, a consistent 5.3-5.7 mph was attained going with current and an occasional run above 6.0 mph was noted. The kayak handled flawlessly, and the Honda didn't skip a beat. The engine was run for over 60 minutes and 1/3 of the tank remained when filled to the top. I have outfitted over 300 kayaks to date fitted with these setups with virtually no failure points when maintained accordingly. The upgraded leg is hand built, so you get what you pay for, no exceptions.
