President Trump returns to the UK to refuel Air Force One

President Donald Trump returns to RAF Mildenhall, UK, aboard Air Force One. The aircraft takes on fuel after a week in the Middle East before departing back to the United States. Security was heavy around the base as both US and UK forces worked together to secure the military VIP plane. The callsign 'Air Force 1' is given to any US Air Force aircraft being used by the President of the United States. Typically, this is one of two Boeing VC-25As, as seen in this video. A highly modified Boeing 747 for executive use by the Commander-in-Chief and their staff. Prior to Air Force One's arrival, and after it had landed, there were two Boeing C-32s of the 89th Airlift Wing from Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. These can be used by the president as backup aircraft if an issue were to occur with the primary plane, or for the president to visit airports without the capability to host a Boeing VC-25A. Both aircraft types make up the 'Special Air Mission' (SAM) of the United States, tasked with transporting the President, Vice President, family, cabinet members, and other high-ranking government officials. The London Metropolitan Police assisted the United States Secret Service, the 100th Security Forces Squadron, the Ministry of Defence Police and Suffolk Police with security at and around the base. Including the use of a motorcade in case President Trump needed to travel by land.
