What to expect with your First Light Adjustable Lens (LAL) Light Adjustment. The LAL is the only lens that can be changed after implantation to perfect your prescription/vision. It's a recommended lens post-LASIK. What is the light adjustment like? What instructions do you have to follow? I developed a cataract in my right eye following a vitrectomy a little over a year ago. Because of all the previous surgeries on that eye (LASIK in the early 1990s, enhancements, an epiretinal membrane peel (ERM) with associated vitrectomy, etc.), all my doctors agreed the Light Adjustable Lens (#LAL) by RxSight (#RxSight) gave me the best chance to restore my vision. The LAL is one of the only intraocular lenses (IOLs) in the world that can be "adjusted" after surgery to perfect your prescription.
