Elliot Foote, the man who had gathered 11 of his closest friends for a 10-day surf trip to Indonesia’s Banyak Islands ahead of his 30th birthday, is found alive and well 90 minutes later at a surf camp in the Bay of Plenty where he had been dropped by local fishermen. They found him adrift on his surfboard earlier that morning after he had paddled ahead to find help.
