11 days in Manila with kids | December: Experiencing Christmas in the Philippines 🇵🇭

We had an amazing holiday in Manila! From watching a movie at Feliz to shopping at SM Megamall, every moment was cool and laid back. We explored history with a quasi-field trip to Luneta and Fort Santiago, strolled around Uptown Mall, and wandered through the vibrant streets of Bonifacio Global City. Staying at Lola’s house was a relaxing and nostalgic experience! We made the most of our time in the city—cooling off in the inflatable pool, enjoying freshly made taho (silky tofu) from our favorite vendor, and hopping on a jeepney or minibus for a quick ride to nearby places. The kids loved picking out candies from the nearby mini-grocery (though we missed having a sari-sari store close by). It was a simple yet heartwarming time at Lola’s house. Our adventures continued with a visit to the night bazaar in Eastwood City, a horseback ride in Tagaytay, and enjoying the cool breeze there. We also watched the fountain show and played in the fun spaces at Okada. We soaked in the festive spirit, listening to Christmas carollers and attending Mass on December 24th at Christ the King. Noche buena was absolutely delicious, and we wrapped up Christmas with a fun celebration with the cousins—thank you, Ate Lingie, for hosting!
