The Responsibility in Talent | Story of Abhay Jodhpurkar - Bollywood Singer Today on Kahaani, you are going to witness a perfect story Diwali SpecialHappy Reading!!!! Once upon a time, there was an annoying and notorious kid who was good at art, dance, sports, debate, and every possible activity. When he grew, he chose BTech, Bio-Technology Engineering as his path as he was undoubtedly good at studies as well. But guess what?! His parents wanted him to choose music as his path. Well, yes you read it right. But I am stuck in this irony as well because usually, we have heard stories vise versa. He pursued his Engineering in Chennai and that changed things. The south Indian music made him realize his calling. MUSIC! With not much ado, he joined The Alaap Music Academy, Chennai. There he found his love for music and the liking for technical craftsmanship in music. A few years later… he received a message one night when he was about to get to bed that he had been selected to record with the A.R. Rahman, the man of Oscars. Yes, of course, he jumped on the bed. A debut with the one and only A.R Rahman isn’t a small thing, is it?! With this super-duper launch, he got a chance to sing more than a hundred south-Indian songs. Another 8 years later… Good music school, check! Great launch, check! Many good south Indian songs, check! Bollywood? After a really good break, he got into Bollywood films. And guess what was his Bollywood debut?! “Mera Naam Tu” for Shah Rukh Khan!!! Yes! I have been talking about the man of harmonizing voice, Mr. Abhay Jodhpurkar. One possessing an IQ of 80 might be more genius in his field than another man with an IQ of 100. A man at the age of 40 could be scoring less in a match but could never fail to catch the opponents’ wicket like a leopard. An engineer’s daughter can be a singer and her daughter would end up being a chef. We understand that not someone’s intelligence nor age nor his inherited trait or skill matters. All that matters is talent and hard work. After singing so many remarkable songs, do you think it would be difficult for him to carry on the same way? Not really! But by choosing to work even harder, Mr. Abhay is still learning music. Currently, he is into Hindustani Classical for 3years. We would have heard many inspiring stories and each one has something unique we never thought about. This story touched me at this point where our hero of the day acted so responsible with the talent by pouring out hard work. “Even if you reach your goal, work hard on stepping higher and sustaining in the same.” By getting to know Mr. Abhay Jodhpurkar’s story, I learned this today.
