Castlemaine Crystals! We found a huge quartz reef shedding crystals in some old gold workings! 😮💎

This week we're back in the Castlemaine area at a spot that we've found crystals at in the past but this time, with a goal to hunt for the source of the crystals. They were hiding in plain sight! (sort of). It turns out the old miners had already had a crack at the quartz reef that contained crystals in search of gold but for whatever reason, had abandoned the reef and left behind the tell tale signs scattered all throughout their mullock. This lead us to dig in their original hole and straight to one of our most memorable finds! The quartz reef was still there and it was full of crystals!! Now that we have found the holy grail for crystal hunting fossickers, how do we dig them up?? We hope you enjoy the video folks! Remember, there could be shiny rocks hiding anywhere! it doesn't take much, just basic tools, a bit of homework and a keen eye to find them. You've just gotta get out there and start looking! Peace!
