Our First Impressions of India / Welcome to Delhi 🇮🇳

FINALLY, we made to India! This trip has been in the planning stage for a long time but today we are flying from Nairobi to Delhi on Qatar Airways, of course. As soon as we landed to Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, we picked up our bags and jumped on the subway which was modern, clean and so convenient and headed to Connaught Place. First stop, hotel! We decided to stay at The Connaught Hotel which has very nice A/C rooms, a great breakfast buffet and is also in a very good location in New Delhi making it super easy to travel around either by subway or Tuktuk aka rickshaw. That being said a convenient hotel like The Connaught place is not cheap as we paid approximately $235usd a night. From the tuktuk rides, the friendly people, the beautiful monuments like the India Gate and of course the FOOD, this was a great first taste of what we can expect for the rest of our trip around India.
