After visiting Ukraine for the first time I thought it would be nice to try out UIA for the journey home. UIA are the worst flag-carrier airline in Europe (according to Skytrax). Whilst the cabin did look a little dated (this improves on newer aircraft) and the seats weren't the most comfortable, I found the service to be acceptable for the price. A soft drink is even included, which is more than you get on British Airways! I did find their baggage rules to be a little strict. On their 'economy lite' fare, just 7kg is included on a flight like KBP-LGW and these rules were enforced at the gate, something I haven't seen in a while. However, only wheelie bags were being checked and not rucksacks like mine!
