Restored Messerschmitt Bf-109 E4 "Rote 12" - First Flight Demonstration

This Aircraft was originaly build in 1939, with the serial number/Werk Nummer 1983. It served on the eastern front with the 5. Staffel of the Jagdgeschwaders 5. It was shot down on 24.01.1942 near Musmansk (Titowka). The Wreckage was salvaged in 1993 and the collector Eberhard Thiesen bought it and lead the restoration effort. The Engine was overhauled by Dirk Bende. It is a super rare Daimler Benz DB601N. The N variant has higher compression on each cylinder, leading to a slightly higher power output of 1175hp, instead of the 1100hp on th DB 601-A. Aircraft was piloted by Charlie Brown.
