How to Custom Color Your Lead Rope for Your Horse

Hi again! Today I am going to show you how you can create a custom color lead rope for your horse. I did this because I found a lady who creates rope halters (Knotty girls on amazon) and I wanted to have lead ropes that matched the halters so I started trying to find a very vibrant purple and a lime green lead rope that was made from cotton. I didn't have any luck. So I decided to make my own, and this video shows you how I did it. The Dye I found is called Dyson dye, and it costs about the same as the rit dye that you can find in the store. I found this on Walmart.com for around $4.00 a package. To make the dye, I followed the instructions on the label, but it said to leave the item in the dye for 45 minutes, but I left it in the solution for 2 hours to get a deeper, more vibrant color. I was really happy with how they turned out, and now I have lead ropes to match my horses halters!
